The little things that run the world, part 1 (hemimetabolous insects)

Display Description

It is no exaggeration to say that insects are the dominant group of animals on Earth. With more than one million described species, insects make up nearly two-thirds of the animal kingdom. This display contains the hemimetabolous insects, which undergo partial metamorphism in three parts: the egg, larva and adult stages - skipping the pupae stage unlike the holometabolous insects (in the next display).
